Transport of Dangerous Goods (IATA 7.4) (E-learning)

The transportation of dangerous goods is subject to strict laws and regulations which mandate that everyone involved in the handling of dangerous goods is properly trained. This applies to everyone involved in the transportation process, including loading, unloading, handling, driving (transportation), document review, etc.

The course must be taken at a training institution approved by the Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management. Vertex Learning Institute has this accreditation and assists students in applying the relevant laws and regulations.

This course focuses on what is required to perform the job. Depending on the activities of the organization where the student works, he/she will learn how to properly handle dangerous goods in storage, transport them to and from the aircraft, and load/unload ULDs.

Upon successful completion of the assessment (minimum score of 80%), the student will have passed and will be authorized to load hazardous materials into or onto ULDs in accordance with segregation conditions, unload them from ULDs, and store them correctly.

The certificate obtained is valid for two years and must be renewed in a timely manner. Renewal is possible from three months before the expiry of the current certificate (retaining the date).
